EDWARD M. PORTER JR. ’45

EDWARD M. PORTER JR., a pilot and test pilot with the U.S. Navy, who retired as Commanding Officer of the Pacific Missile Range Facility on Kauai, died Mar. 10, 2011. He was 87. A member of Psi Upsilon, after Pearl Harbor he joined the U.S. Navy, where he spent his 33-year career. His wife, Barbara Hale Porter, predeceased him. Survivors include two daughters, one grandson, and several nephews.
