Samuel G. Liss ’78

As they prepared to merge, Travelers Property Casualty Corp. and The St. Paul Companies Inc., named Samuel G. Liss '78 executive vice president of strategic development. He had joined St. Paul as executive vice president of business development in February 2003 and had advised St. Paul on its exit from reinsurance and the formation of Platinum Underwriters Holdings Ltd. last year. Previously, he was a managing director at Credit Suisse First Boston. He pursued graduate studies at the London School of Economics and Political Science and received his master's degree in business administration from New York University.
